Crich Stand is an impressive landmark overlooking the Derwent Valley. The Stand is the memorial of the Sherwood Foresters Regiment.  The spiral staircase leads to the viewing area from where, on clear days, visitors can see seven counties and various landmarks. Crich Stand is a one mile steep uphill walk from Whatstandwell station or catch bus 142 from outside Ambergate Station or from King Street (outside Wilko) in Belper.  Bus 140 from Matlock also serves Crich.
