Derby Museum and Art Gallery offers free entry to displays of paintings and artifacts of both local international importance. Visit the largest collection of works by Derby born, internationally renowned artist Joseph Wright – famed as the ‘painter of light’. There is a diverse range of exhibits including wildllfe, local history, military history and Egyptian mummies. From Derby station, the museum and art gallery is a 20 minute walk through the city centre.
