Middleton Top Countryside Centre on the High Peak Trail offers delightful views of the surrounding countryside. There is a gift shop, cycle hire centre, toilets and picnic area. The restored steam engine house built in 1829 by the Butterley Company to haul wagons up the Middleton incline is open to the public on certain weekends throughout the year. Catch bus 6.1 or 110 from Cromford market place.
