Trent Lock is a major waterway junction where rivers and canals meet. It’s a great place to relax and spot boats and there are several pubs and cafes. Across the river, is Redhill Train Tunnel a Victorian castle like structure which is part of the Midland Mainline. From Trent Lock you can continue along the Cranfleet Cut and riverside path to Attenborough 4 miles and beyond to Beeston or Nottingham. In the other direction it is about 1 mile along the river Trent to Sawley Lock and a little further to Sawley Marina. Trent Lock is about 1½ miles from Long Eaton Station via Fields Farm Road and the Erewash Canal.
