Black Rocks is a popular walking and climbing area off the High Peak Trail. Climb up onto the gritstone outcrop for superb views over Cromford and Matlock Bath.  There are attractive circuit walks through adjoining deciduous and conifer Forestry Commission woodlands. Refreshments are available at Black Rocks at weekends and during the high season. Black Rocks, is a 1.5 mile steep uphill walk from Cromford or just a short bus ride from Cromford market place on bus 6.1 or 110.
