Wirksworth is a quirky and historic town known for its independent shops and cafes, annual arts festival and for the dozens of artists and creative people who live and work in the town. Wirksworth is home to the Wirksworth Heritage Centre and Ecclesbourne Valley Railway which connects with the Derwent Valley Line at Duffield.

Visiting Wirksworth by bus: Catch bus 6.1 or 110/111 from Matlock Bath (outside the train station) or Cromford market place (15 minute walk from train station). You can also catch the X17 from Sheffield and Matlock. View the bus timetables here, and please check with the travel operator before you travel.

Wirksworth may also be visited using  the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway from Duffield.
