Derwent Valley Heritage Way from Derby to Shardlow

From Derby Station the southern section of Derwent Valley Heritage Way can be followed for 9 miles to Derwent Mouth at Shardlow.

The Derwent Valley Heritage Way is a 55-mile walking route from the source of the Derwent to where it joins the Trent at Shardlow. From Derby Station you can follow the route south to Borrowash (5 miles) and to Derwent Mouth at Shardlow (9 miles) and return using the frequent Skylink bus. Alternatively head north through Derby city centre, past Cathedral Green, The Silk Mill and Darley Park to Duffield, a distance of 7 miles.
