Take your school group on a memorable cable car journey to a unique historical hilltop park with guided tours through underground caverns, and surprises around every corner. The cable car base station is less than a five minutes’ walk from Matlock Bath Station, just follow the new walkway between the river and the railway.
School visits are welcome on any operating day. The cable cars open at 10.00am every morning, and close at 4.30pm. Cavern tours last between 30 & 40 minutes. We recommend you allow at least three hours for your visit. The Heights of Abraham is open every day until the 31st of October 2021. School pupils qualify for a special rate of just £9.50 per pupil and one teacher / helper is admitted free for every ten pupils. All school visits must be booked in advance.
