Guided tours of the main site and village focus on the history of Arkwright, his mills and the people who worked for him. A range of learning activities both guided and self-led educational experiences are available for Early years, Primary, Secondary, Further and Higher Education groups.

Get hands-on with cotton and learn about life as a mill worker, discover how Sir Richard Arkwright changed the world, build Lego waterwheels, or be inspired by our beautiful surroundings to create your own art. We work with classes of all ages and abilities and are happy to tailor tours for secondary school groups to fit the exam board specification.
