The World of the Strutt’s and their Workers – A walk through Belper’s Industrial Past.

Join knowledgeable guide Ian Hill on a heritage walk that brings the story of how Jedidiah Strutt, his family and their workers turned Belper into a nineteenth century industrial powerhouse. This outdoor tour will take you around the mill site, the River Gardens, and the first workers community and lasts between 60 and 90 minutes.

This walk is available on numerous Sunday afternoons at 2pm until April. Please choose your tickets to see available dates. Booking essential at least 1 day before the walk commences. £5.00 Adults U16s FREE –  Booking Required 

Please note that the worker’s community has uneven surfaces and steep hill.

The walk meets outside the door to the North Mill.  Follow our Walking Route to North Mill  from Belper station through the historic Clusters.
