Featuring Folk-fused BaroquE’n’Roll JOSHUA BURNELL & BAND

Joshua Burnell makes baroque pop for the modern world. His latest Album ‘Glass Knight’ promises to be Joshua’s defining album, taking on a heady concoction of influences from glam, psychedelia to mid-70s Dylan, while keeping a sharp focus on a modern audience. Through his intricately crafted lyrics, Joshua creates a multiverse of settings, from apocalyptic love songs to reimagined fairy tales, and introduces otherworldly characters – the Glass Knight being resurrected from an old English folk tale to reflect the foibles of the modern-day world.

This one’s for fans of Stranger Things, 70s art rock and everything in between. Expect hooky melodies drenched in warm, retro-synth textures, reverbing guitars, lush harmonies and words that make you think. “lmagine The War On Drugs meets Genesis with lashings of Peter Gabriel stylings,” – The Guardian.

Appalachian old time fiddle & banjo HANNAH READ & MICHAEL STARKEY

Hannah Read is an award winning Scottish musician based in Brooklyn, NY. When Hannah met banjo player Michael Starkey at an Appalachian old time session in Edinburgh in 2019 there was an immediate meeting of musical minds. They have since become a dynamic fiddle and banjo duo, playing repertoire deep from the old time tradition as well as newly self-composed tunes and songs.

“intimate and inventive musicianship… arranged and played beautifully by two consummate acoustic musicians” – Living Tradition

Derbyshire Singer Songwriter PHOEBE SHAW

Singer-songwriter Phoebe Shaw joins us to perform a selection of songs from her own catalogue as well as some much-loved toe-tapping covers we can all sing along to. She recently released her debut album ‘New Leaf’ which is available to listen to on Spotify and iTunes. Cosmic Contemporary Country duo INTERSTELLAR

Interstellar Duo are sisters Charlotte and Heather Sterland. They play original compositions influenced by folk, jazz and classical music. Performing new vocal arrangements from their soundtrack album ‘Adventure 112,’ the duo create a folklorish stage atmosphere, with a show which is both charming and intriguing.
