Pride in Belper

6 August 2022

Pride in Belper - inclusive, diverse, sustainable and accessible.

Pride in Belper is proud to be back on August 6th!
The Belper Strutt (Parade) will start on Belper’s Market Place at 12pm.

Pride in Belper are aiming for the event to be the most inclusive, diverse, sustainable and accessible yet.

Real inclusivity celebrates the rich and wonderful diversity of everyone whatever your sexuality or gender identity.

So Lets Get Back Together on Saturday 6th August 2022.

This will be the second Pride in Belper Strutt! The first, in 2019, exceeded all expectations. as the crowds started to swell in the Market Place. As the parade snaked down King Street and back up again it was estimated that there were around 2,000 people walking in support.

Gather in the Market Place from about 11am in good time for the parade to start at 12 noon. The walk will be down King Street, turn left along Strutt Street and, at the end turn right down New Road. On reaching Campbell Street we will turn right along there and then, at the end, we will turn right back up King Street to the Memorial Gardens where we will gather for a special afternoon.

The parade will be lead by Beatwirks Samba Reggae Band and all you need to do is to be yourself and come join the fun.

King Street will be closed to all bus services from 7am to 8pm with all services from the Bus Station on Chapel Street.

Address

Start in Belper Market Place at the top of King Street, five minutes walk from the railway station.
