Bus services in Derby

From the bus interchange outside the main station entrance there are frequent buses into Derby City Centre, to other parts of the city and to East Midlands Airport.

Into the City Centre, services 1 and 1A run every 10 minutes. These buses also serve the south and east of the city including Allenton and Alvaston.  From Derby city centre, other bus services can be caught to areas throughout Derby and the surrounding area.

University of Derby operates service U1 Monday to Friday during University Term Time, with a 10 minute’ frequency during most of the day.

The Skylink service operates direct to East Midlands Airport 24/7 with buses every 20 minutes between 6am and 8pm Monday to Saturday and every 30 minutes on Sunday.

There are less frequent services to Aston on Trent (70/70A) and Ashbourne and Kedleston (114) including one summer Saturday service direct to and from Kedleston Hall.

From London Road Community Hospital (5 minute walk from the station) the ‘Royal Derby’ operates Monday to Friday to the main Royal Derby Hospital every 12 minutes during most of the day.
